Could Kolo Be What We Are Looking For

With all the will He buy won't He buy a DM going on at this time,do You not think that with the arrival of VERMAELEN to shore up Our defence,It leaves the door open for Kolo to fill that mantle?.I for one would be more than happy to see him get a good go at it.With Kolo between a back four and an attacking four in the middle with one up front We would be unbeatable. We have the players to play that way, maybe Song and Denilson could learn from Him and start paying Wenger back for all the trust He has put in them.Just the thoughts of a Gunner who never gets tired of Wenger and His box of magic tricks.Whats your thoughts on that?????

Arsenal Boss Arsene Wenger Clears Up Eduardo Da Silva's Injury Mystery
The 'Crozilian' striker is pencilled in to play on Monday

A plethora of reports in the British media yesterday suggested that Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri's two-month injury lay-off was accompanied by a fresh sidelining of Eduardo da Silva, however, this was news to the player, who later told Croatian press that he was "completely ready physically".

Manager Arsene Wenger clarified the situation when he stated on the club's official website that, "Eduardo should play on Monday," which is a stark contrast to the quote attributed to the Frenchman yesterday, "... in two months Eduardo will be back as well."

Eduardo, a Brazil-born Croatian international, has also been pictured training with the rest of the Arsenal squad while Wenger instils his preparatory ethos into the side during the club's annual tour of Austria.

Regarding his apparent injury, 'Dudu' as he is affectionately known, expressed surprise, "I do not know anything about the statement made by my coach. It can not be true. I am completely ready physically.

Arsenal began their Austria trip in fine form as they beat SC Colombia by seven goals to one.

Don't Blame It On Wenger

Here We go again,an Arsenal Player is injured and We get all these "Football Pundits"
saying Arsene has lost the plot, because He wont go out and spend ££££££££'s on players who they think We need.Arsene Wenger did say He needs 3 players in - that was before Adebayor went and Nasri got injured,so Wenger knows exactly what He needs!!!!!There is only one problem the so-called board at Arsenal. These people have invested so badly on over priced "FLATS" and other failures that Arsene Wenger recieves crumbs from them. This has been going on to long now there are people wanting to come and invest in the Club,so it's time for these failures to stand aside and give some-one with a bit of sense a go at keeping us great.Arsene Wengers record speaks for itself, what could He do with the right backing, what could He do if money was no option, the Man has kept us as a top team in Europe on a shoesring budget, with little or no backing from the "HORAY HENRIES" so get of his back.We wouldn't even be a top ten side if We didn't have Wenger

Senderos

Arsene Wenger has admitted that defender Philippe Senderos could leave the club this summer.
Arsene Wenger has addited He has had offers for Senderos. After a loan move to Milan didn't result in a permanent move,Senderos came back to the Arsenal this summer.Although Senderos would like a return to Italy reports suggest He could be used as part of a deal for Bordeaux's Marouane Chamakh. He(Wenger)said in the London Evening Standard: "He has offers and it is open.
"He has come back here with us still looking for solutions but he is still yet to decide on his future."

Full Story From Sky Sports

Nasri suffers broken leg
Arsenal midfielder injured during pre-season training

Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri has suffered a broken leg during the club's pre-season training camp in Austria.

The France international is facing between two and three months on the sidelines after fracturing his right fibula on Tuesday morning.

Nasri will miss the opening weeks of the Premier League season and will be hoping to return to action at some stage in October.

The 22-year-old suffered the injury during a training match at Arsenal's summer camp in Bad Waltersdorf and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital.

A statement on the club's official website confirmed: "Samir Nasri has sustained a fractured fibula during this morning's training session at the club's pre-season training camp in Austria.

"The midfielder will be out of action for two to three months."

The news will come as a major setback to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger as he looks to end the club's four-year trophy drought.

On top of missing several weeks of club action, Nasri has been ruled out of France's forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Faroe Islands, Romania and Serbia.

Clough hopeful on Randall
Derby boss keen to secure loan deal - Sky Sports
Nigel Clough is eager for Mark Randall to link up with Derby for their pre-season tour of Devon ahead of a possible loan move.

The Rams revealed earlier this month that they wanted to bring in the young Arsenal midfielder on a 'long loan'.

Arsenal are now set to allow Randall to play for Derby in two of their friendlies in the South West this week.

Derby face Yeovil on Tuesday, Torquay on Thursday and Exeter on Saturday and Clough hopes to push through a deal for Randall.

"I think we've got the okay from Arsenal that he will be joining up with us on Tuesday and hopefully he will feature in two out of the three games, probably Tuesday and Saturday," said Clough.

"This week will be ideal to have a look at him with a view to a loan - maybe to January or maybe for the whole season.

"There is no point coming training. You can only see a certain amount in training but this way we can see him in games."

Lets Get Behind Our Lads

Now that the whole will he won't he go saga is over.
Lets get behind the Lads who didn't leave for greed.
Flamoney and Helb are living proof life sucks after Arsenal.
If we need to replace him I'm sure Arsene will, there is no doubt in my mind if these 3 guys had of stayed we would have won trohpies and won big. They didn't and we didn't,but then stand back and look who Arsene Wenger has for us,just check out who will be running at every defence in England next year, just for a moment forget that we need a good DM,and put yourself into the boots of a poor Defender in the EPL and who ever we might meet in Europe,CESC,NASRI,ANDREY,RVP,ROSICKY,THEO,ST NICK,EDUARDO,VELA,and theres more to come.I don't know if I'm the only one but there seems to be a great buzz around the Arsenal scene at the minute,a buzz i havn't felt since the Invincibles!

BARNET 2 - 2 ARSENAL

Emmanuel Adebayor was missing as Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw by Barnet in their traditional pre-season friendly at Underhill.

The Gunners are reported to have accepted a £25million offer for Adebayor from Manchester City, who are discussing personal terms with the Togo striker.

In his absence impressive academy product Sanchez Watt formed a first-half strike partnership alongside Andrey Arshavin in a starting line-up that blended youth and experience.

Tomas Rosicky made his first appearance since January 2008 following his recovery from serious hamstring and knee injuries. The Czech winger, who joined Arsenal in May 2006, floated across midfield and understandably looked off the pace, although he occasionally showed some neat touches.

New £10million signing from Ajax Thomas Vermaelen made his club debut and was the only player to feature in both halves with Arsene Wenger making 10 changes at the interval.

Watt picked out Arshavin with a pinpoint cross that the Russian buried in the 44th minute but Ismail Yakubu met Danny Hart's free-kick with a glancing header to level within minutes. Individual brilliance by Dutchman Nacer Barazite restored Arsenal's lead shortly into the second half but with eight minutes to go, Elliott Charles stabbed home from close range to earn Barnet a deserved draw.

Arsene Wenger Eyeing Demba Ba To Replace Adebayor

Its reported in the Daily Mail and Le Parisien that Arsene Wenger is looking at bringing in Demba Ba below is the full story

Demba Ba was already the centre of one of Germany's most talked about transfer negotiations of the summer, but the Parisian-born Senegalese international may not be finished making headlines just yet.

With Emmanuel Adebayor seemingly leaving for Manchester City, it is reported in the Daily Mail and Le Parisien that Arsene Wenger is looking for Senegalese striker Demba Ba to replace him.

The 24-year-old scored 14 goals this season in the Bundesliga and declared at the beginning of the week that he wanted to continue the experience with the Bundesliga newbies.

Arsenal, on the other hand, with a long experience of grooming French-born players and Ligue 1 alums into global superstars, may have found their newest bet. Arsene Wenger is said to be particularly impressed with Ba's potential.

The player, who was declaring his will to come back to France, and more precisely to Paris, has not yet reacted, but his agent already declared that it would be an honour for him to play for such a great coach and that this type of offer had to be closely examined.

From Wikipedia
On 29 August 2007 he moved to 1899 Hoffenheim. Ba has since been an integral part of Hoffenheim's promotion to the Bundesliga and their successful first season in the Bundesliga where they finished 7th after leading during the Christmas break. In that season he scored 14 goals only missing one game all season. These goals included a hat-trick in a 3-3 game against on Stuttgart 24 February 2009
Ba is also currently part of the Senegal national football team. He's made five apearances scoring one goal

Manuel Almunia Rallies The Troops At Arsenal

David Kifford, Goal.com
Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia has shot an early warning to his team-mates, a good start is vital for the Gunners.

"It is crucial for everyone to get off to a good start," he told the Gunners' official website.

"In the beginning of last season no one team was strong enough to get a big advantage in points. But we will have to start well this season if we want to win the League."

Arsenal lost five of their first 14 league games last season and the deficit to the title challengers proved too big to claw back. Almunia does not want that to happen this season.

"A good start gives you confidence, stability, points and a nice cushion for the rest of the season," he added.

The Gunners will face a Champions League qualifier to confirm their European status in a draw that will, for the first time, feature no seeded teams. Potentially leaving the North London club with a tricky start to their season.

However, the Spanish stopper doesn't see this as an excuse for a poor start in the Premier League, continuing, "We have been playing a Champions League qualifying game for the last few seasons so it is nothing new for us. We will have our mind on it and we have to be prepared for it."

Almunia believes the return of Tomas Rosicky from long term injury and wing wozard Andrey Arshavin, who will begin his first full season, can have a real impact at the club. Arshavin will be eligible for European competition this season, after being ruled out last season due to his participation with former club Zenit St. Petersburg.

"They are going to help us, Arshavin has already helped us in the League but now he can help us in the Champions League because he is a great player," the Spaniard explained.

"He [Tomas Rosicky] has experience; in and out of the dressing room he is a senior player. When he comes back, when he is on the pitch, he will take responsibility to lift the team up."

Adebayor Getting Cold Feet

According to "reports" in various papers Ade is having second thoughts about leaving. It's not his love of ARSENAL that is making it hard for him to leave,It's because he dosn't want to be seen as greedy back home in Africa.Arsenal have accepted £20m-£25m for him,his work permit won't be effected by the switch and citeh are happy enough. Now Ade wants time to consult family and friends to see if it makes him look greedy and has asked Mark Hughes(a top four manager my b@ll@cks)for more time.Ade don't worry you are already known as a greedy b@st@rd so go for it let Wenger get his hands on the money,You can't stay now,not after what you have done.In another twist to this tale, the Daily Mail reports that Ade's agents offerd him to the other manc team when citeh refused to meet his high wage demands.Maybe Sir Alex of Buckfast thought his own ego was big enough for the club.

OOOOHHH-AAAAHHH Ray Parlour

In an interveiw today in the Daily Star,Ray Parlour has attacked Adebayor.
Ray is only saying what a lot of Gunners think, rather than take snippets i think i'll post the whole interveiw.

RAY RAP AT 'LAZY' MANU
By Dean Jones
Emmanuel Adebayor has been accused of lacking the stomach for a fight during his last year at Arsenal.

Ex-Gunners midfielder Ray Parlour says Arsene Wenger has done brilliant business by collecting a whopping £30m for the Togo striker because he was so lazy.

Parlour said: “He was too lazy at times last season and just didn’t do it.

“His body language wasn’t great.

“He has a big contract, which maybe is because he had a good season the year before – but he needs people behind him getting on his back.

“Wenger will not stand in his way because they can get a lot of money for him and then get a very good player to replace him.
“His attitude amazed me at times last season when he just didn’t put it in.

“Sometimes if things are not going well for you, you have to show desire.

“At first I heard £30m bandied around, and I’d snap their hand off at that price. Then you go and get an excellent player who will work his socks off.”

Parlour thinks Adebayor may even struggle to get into the City line-up.

He will have to battle with Carlos Tevez, Roque Santa Cruz, Craig Bellamy, Robinho and Benjani for a starting place up front, and Parlour added: “How many forwards do they need?

“I know they’re not finished yet and want John Terry but it looks like they will be going all out attack.

“What formation will they play to fit these players in?”

I love it when Our Ex-pro's come out and say what needs saying - So fair play to you RAY

If Cesc Leaves What Next?????

We've been waiting for it.Reports in Spain are saying Real Madrid and Barcelona are about to start a bidding war for Cesc Fabregas. If Cesc does go what next for Arsenal? With the board always refusing to spend the money we earn on players and already turning down Alisher Usmanov's bid to open up more share's so his group could invest £100m into our transfer kitty . Were next for Arsenal????? We cannot afford another year of falling futher behind the "TOP 3".Another year of nearly being caught the chasing pack.Is this to be another year of trying and failing to bring decent players to the club, and having to bring in more unheard off and un-proven players.Mr Wenger is a miracle worker but every year this board makes it harder for him,it's a different face fronting Arsenal in Ivan Gazidis, but it's the same old waffle and bull we have to listen to.If Cesc goes would it be time for David Dein to come-back and bring the good days back?

Bassong wants Arsenal

Newcastle defender Sebastien Bassong has revealed that he has had an approach from Arsenal as he looks to stay in England. The 22 year old center-half has had offers from europe, but would prefere to stay in the Premiership. The french-man is one of the few Newcastle players who can hang their head high after last season. When asked by "France Football"if there was interest from Arsenal. He said "There has been an approach. But for the moment, there is nothing concrete."Could be a good signing for Us.Our defence isn't the greatest, and when there were a few injuries picked up it showed we had no depth.

Real - the new chealski

The rumor mill is at it today again...and Cesc is in the middle of it Reports from spain say that since Real have failed to get Alonso from the scouser's and Roma midifelder Daniele de Rossi,They have turned their sight's on Cesc again. With reports in England last week that Arsenal had stamped a €50 million price on Cesc,Real would refuse to pay it but think another deal could be done! Now with these people running around spendind money like it's going outta fashion and Barcelona not hiding the fact that they want him(with city willing to pay silly money for Eto'o) is there a chance his hometown team will come in again for him again?????The worst thing is We know if the money is good the board will cash in - as they seem to be more interested in money than building a great Arsenal side again.<

The International curse

Been watching sky sports and they have reported that Carlos Vela has injured his ankle while playing for mexico. He was injured in the gold cup match with Nicaragua.

At a second look the challange didn't look so bad.Vela played on for another 11 minutes, but was forced to come off. After treatment and a scan it was said he has a bad sprain, and they don't know if there is any serious ligament damage. It's just our luck things are starting to look up and this happens,I wish Carlos a speedy recovery and hope this is the last and We can start the season with a fit and full squad.

Cesc for £40m?

A so called Arsenal insider is quoted in some of the papers today claiming Arsenal would find it hard to reject offers around £40m for Cesc.

With Real spending money for fun,is this an attempt to cash in?

Barcelona have never tried to hide the fact they want Cesc,£40m would be wee buns to them.

Infact is there a team anywhere that couldn't find the money at that price for a world class player?

Hope it is not another year of Arsenal proving they are a selling club, will we be treated to the now yearly farce that is Our summer transfer system.

Were all we hear is that we just failed to get or targets, that it went right down to the wire, right up until the last minute we thought they would go through, blah, blah, blah.

We get out-spent by most teams in the Premier(not saying spend for the sake of spending)but how long can it go on we sell our top stars or let them go and rely on kids to come though.

This year it's got to stop keep what we have and bring in what we need let's go and win some trophies this season!
